Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes help caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for a friend or relative. The classes run as six 1.5-hour sessions, once a week for six weeks, in a classroom setting with a group size of at least 8 participants; topics covered are behavioral health, with desired outcomes of improved self-care behaviors, management of emotions (e.g. guilt, anger, depression), and self-efficacy in the caregiving role. A virtual class option is also available.
