LegalLine is a free community service program created by the Houston Bar Association in 1985, in partnership with Houston Volunteer Lawyers. The program provides simple legal advice, answers to legal questions, and referrals to helpful resources over the phone at no cost; callers can ask questions on many legal topics.
How to start
Visit the Houston Volunteer Lawyers website (legalhelphouston.org) and click 'Start the Questionnaire'; a licensed attorney will then call you. LegalLine operates on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month from 5 PM to 8 PM. Phone: (713) 228-0735.
